A tight, high-energy program, with a welcome that starts before anyone logs on.
The Working Families Party and Indivisible are bringing their communities together for one national call. Soft Power Studio will produce a focused, high-energy program that celebrates what people accomplished, makes sense of the election, and gives everyone a clear next step.
We recommend keeping the program to 30–45 minutes, with a strong MC, a small group of high-profile speakers, #WFPStories woven throughout, and one clear ask at the end.
The experience will begin before guests log on. Ahead of the call, attendees will receive a digital welcome pack that introduces them to WFP, gives them tools to participate, and makes it easy to bring others into the call.
Soft Power Studio will lead the program, production, and welcome pack as one integrated experience, so what guests receive beforehand connects directly to what happens on the call.
Soft Power Studio has produced 19 digital events this year, and has produced mass calls for the National Urban League and the All Roads Lead to the South coalition. We know how to manage a large virtual audience while keeping the program tight, technically sound, and moving.
Before we determine speaker order, write an MC script, or design a graphic, we’ll align with WFP and Indivisible on what people need to understand and do by the end of the call.
The program, speakers, transitions, creative, and closing ask will all work toward the same goal.
Soft Power Studio will manage the program, speaker preparation, broadcast production, and digital welcome pack. WFP and Indivisible teams can remain focused on turnout, their members, and the substance of the moment.
The program will be deliberately short: 30–45 minutes, beginning and ending on time.
We recommend a limited number of high-profile speakers, each with a clear role in the program and approximately 5–10 minutes of speaking time. Every speaker will receive a brief outlining their time, purpose, and key message.
The MC will open and close the program, manage transitions, introduce speakers, share #WFPStories, and keep the call on schedule.
Between major speakers, the MC will recognize organizers and volunteers from around the country. These short moments keep the energy high without adding long segments or additional speakers.
The people who did the work should be visible in the celebration.
Ahead of the call, WFP will help us identify organizers, volunteers, members, and local leaders from across the country who worked hard, organized their communities, made calls, knocked doors, recruited new people, and helped elect WFP candidates.
Soft Power Studio will turn those submissions into short #WFPStories for the MC to share during transitions.
Before we bring up our next speaker, we have to tell you about Angela in Pennsylvania, who organized her neighborhood, knocked more than 600 doors, and brought 14 new volunteers with her. Angela, we see you. This win belongs to you, too.
These moments can be 20 or 30 seconds each. They keep the program moving while showing the scale of the work across states and communities.
By the end of the call, attendees should have heard stories from across the country and seen the breadth of the organizing behind the election results.
The call will begin by celebrating what WFP members and organizers accomplished across the country.
From there, WFP and Indivisible can address what happened during the election, including any election interference or barriers they want members to understand.
The final section will focus on what comes next.
Before we build the run of show, we’ll work with WFP and Indivisible to identify the one thing we want everyone on the call to do next. That could be joining a local organizing effort, signing up for a training, recruiting new members, preparing for the next campaign, or another priority.
Whatever that action is, we’ll build the end of the program around it so people leave knowing exactly what WFP is doing next and how to take part.
